Skyline

When it comes to viewing the skyline from my house I am absolutely spoilt for choice. You see if I walk around my house there are only a few feet that obscures the skyline. At any point I can see mountains, valley, trees and a vast sky that goes on forever.
The first passage that comes to mind is Psalm 121 “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer they foot to be moved he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth and even for evermore.”
God has definitely been there for me this year. As each hollow and mountain has been moved through or climbed, He has proven that He has the answers worked out well in advance. He has sent the right person at the right time or just given me the energy, motivation and strength to get through the list of things to be carried out.

No matter where I look I can see mountains. So no matter where I look I am reminded that God not only made these wonderful formations but He will care for me. He cares for me, a very very small speck on the surface of that great creation.
As I look forward to 2015 I know that those mountains are going to still be there proving God’s faithfulness.
