This is Interesting

As I thought about this, I was thinking how babies find so many things fascinating; things such as a piece of fluff, a scrap of paper or dirt. Why do they find these things, which make adults cringe, remarkable, it is because their world is so new?

As we grow older, as our world becomes familiar, it can lose its allure. What we find interesting will depend on what talents we have, where our interests lie and our personalities. There are so many things that interest people such as; gardening, relationships between people, outer space, mechanics, medicine, the list is endless.

I remember years ago when my husband was in hospital on life support being absolutely amazed by the passion and drive of the nurses and doctors. I could not even imagine why they were so interested in medicine but let me assure you that as they saved not only my husband’s life back and my father’s this year I am very grateful for their dedication. Life would be very dull however if we were all the same with the same interests. Progress is a result of people having different interests and passions.

I find writing short stories very interesting particularly this project; to write something about each prompt and find a photo to go with it has been very challenging. When I look at my ceiling I see a bird in the wood grain in a board but not everyone will see it, confirming that we all have different interest and talents and that is what makes this world interesting. Romans 12.6 says “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us,…..” We should use what talents, interests and passions we have to make this world a better place, bringing humanity together and improving life for everyone.
