Yesterday’s prompt was “I like” to which I added writing so today I will write about my books. My first book Turning Water into Wine took about eighteen months to write and I thought that my second book, More Water into Wine, would to be ready sooner.

However that was not the case. I found it much harder to find inspiration as I had fewer opportunities to travel during that period. The drought was depressing and my health uncertain, teaching me that I need to have a positive attitude to write. I did plough on and kept writing, bit by bit the book was getting close to the finish line.

During August I felt compelled to finish it, so much so that I even cut a few larger stories into smaller ones so that I would have the required one hundred anecdotes. I then became ashamed of myself for rushing it and reverted some of them back to their original format and kept writing. I still felt an urgency to finish this project as it was over the eighteen months that it had taken to get the first one published and I will still writing. I was relieved to finally complete the one hundredth story on the 3rd September, the day before my parents had an accident and send by world into a spin for a couple of months.

Now I understand that sense of urgency was sent to push, enable and force me get this done because God understood that I would not be able to finish it otherwise. Hebrews 4:13 says “Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” Thank goodness God can see the future.
