Me Today
As the year is still young I am, like many of you, standing at the open door of this year. We are looking down the hallway of 2015. What will this year bring is still a question on many minds, as so many of you are not back at work yet.
Many of you will have plans already in place, but like mine last year, they may be changed in an instant. Some of you will know already that this year holds many tough challenges. Still others, myself included, will be waiting to see what might unfold.
What I do know about 2015, or any new year for that matter, is that each year we live will bring many firsts, challenges and decision to be made either by forward planning or on the spur of the minute. Those of us who like to be organised or in control will quake when things have to be decided in a split second. Some of us worriers will keep going over what we have done, checking and rechecking to make sure we have got it right and those who go with the flow will move on and let the cards fall where they may.
One other thing that I do know is this Jeremiah 29:11 says: “For I know the thoughts (modern translations say “plans”) that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Therefore no matter what I want this year to hold for me, no matter how many plans I would like to carry out, I need to wait on the Lord God to show me what His plans are because they will be the best for me.
