Hello Sheets - Psalm 4
It’s the end of the day; there have been the usual things that need to be attended to. Maybe there have been dramas and maybe it’s just been an ordinary day. Each night when I can finally call it “day over” I climb in between the sheets and relax. I might watch a TV show, read a book or check my Facebook for while but the last thing I do before going to sleep is talk to God.
Like David in Psalm 4 I tell Him about the things; that are bothering me, sins that I know I have committed and things that I think might be a problem for my friends. I talk to Him about the things have made me happy, worries I have about our children and the things that I not only would like to do the next day but in the weeks, months and years ahead of me. I know that my God hears me because over my lifetime He has proven to me that He does hear me and has answered so many of the prayers that I have offered up to Him. I have asked Him to take away the anger in my heart and I have felt it disappear like magic but I know that it’s not it is God that has remove it. After I finish talking I know that I can lie down in peace and sleep.
I have no idea about what the next day may bring or where God will lead me in the distance future but I know that God will always be there for me. He will help me, motivate, inspire and push me to move forward. “The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:” Numbers 6:24 I am thankful that He keeps me!
