Ready Set Go
God stood and surveyed the view from above. He could see the mountains on the other side of the valley in front of Him. From here the heavy tree cover obscured the trail that lay before His loved ones. This particular path had been chosen because He knew that the challenges and the path before them would enable them to grow in strength and patience.
God looked down and watched His child standing at the starter’s gate. They looked so small in comparison to the scale of His plan set before Him. He knew that if He was to show this small creature what was ahead they would quake in their boots and be filled with fear. He knew that they would only see the dangers and obstacles. They would be unable to perceive the reward that would be theirs when they reached the other side of that great valley, climbed the steep terrain on the other side and reached the rewarding pinnacle at the end.
They were too young yet to understand the greatness of His plan, love, care and His power to protect and guide them. They would learn that as they took each new step. He would be watching and guiding them. Sometimes they would be able to see and feel it. Other times He would not reveal how things were done until the challenges had been overcome. There would be occasions when He would not reveal how He had guided them until the very end of time.
Along the way they would talk to Him, depend on Him and cry to Him. God knew that there would be times when they would try to work things out for themselves, they were human after all. He had a plan and it would be fulfilled because he was God after all.
