This is so me

What a challenging question? If I think about my passions in my life I can come up with two. Both were unexpected.

What a challenging question? If I think about

Several years ago I took a part-time job as a show Society Secretary. What I discovered about myself, and I honestly never expected this, was that I was passionate about the show movement and the opportunities that it offers farmers to educate our city cousins about where and how their food is produced. Oh how I wish we were able to show people in towns and cities that farmers are good cares of our land and remind them that without farmers they would not be able to eat as well as they currently do.

Then in 2011 I started writing short stories, for our Church newssheet. This eventually led to publishing my first book Turning Water into Wine. I continued to write and my second book More Water into Wine is in the process of being published. What I didn’t expect was to feel so passionate about using this type of media. An eye defect that I was born with, was discovered and fixed in my 30’s prevented me enjoying writing when I was at school. It also coloured my belief system about my capabilities. I honestly thought I was incapable of being able to write.

Still as I listen to my audio version of my book while driving I hear those stories and I am amazed that I actually put the words together. So much so that each time I have to say “God only you could do this”. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” Ephesians 1:3

Throw in the odd card and some gardening and God just amazes me.
