Lunch

PIC_1110.JPG

Today my lunch is Vietnamese rice paper rolls. I have made an effort to make them so they can be tried out at a organisational meeting today. In July we will be holding a function in support of the Bible Society. This year they their project is Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. This is one of their recipes. While I have still had to modify it to accommodate my food issues I am still looking forward to seeing what they will taste like.

Our usual format will not be possible this year and so we have had to think about some different things to do. That I realise is a good thing. It creates a variety and allows people to try new things and stretch themselves more.

The Bible Society has been carrying out the great commission for so many years. “Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:” Matthew 28:19. It is a great example to the rest of us. No I not suggesting that we all start translation work but we can support them in prayer even if we are unable to support them financially. It only takes a minute of our time to as God to bless these organisations and ask the Holy Spirit to work in the lives of those that they are working with.

“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” Romans 10:14. Sometimes God does His own preaching straight from the Bible. I’m looking forward to my lunch.
