Wet (Paint)

DSCF1111.JPG

When I see a sign that says something like “Wet Paint” usually the first question I ask myself is: “Is it really wet”. This question is quickly followed by the temptation to touch and find out for myself. It seems that I have a real distrust of signs that say “Wet Paint”. I just don’t seem to be able to take them at their word.

I also find myself doing the same thing with the signs that God puts in front of me. I don’t always take him at His word. If I did I would trust Him more times than I do. I can blog, write, chat and talk all I like about how His is faithful but if I do not trust Him enough to respond to His instructions than I am wasting my time, energy and breathe.

Numbers 23:29 says “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” This is a sign that God gives us all about who He is and what He can and cannot do. If I take it to be true I then step out and trust Him for all the things in my life.

1 John 1:9 says: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Would I hold back and not confess my sins if I thought this sign were not true.

There is a whole book which holds all the signs that God wants me to take notice of, will you open it, read the signs with me and find out what God wants you to do?
