Mini

I have a new phone! It is in reality a mini computer. While I cannot do all the things on it that I do on my laptop I can do a lot more than I could on my old phone. So now I am on a new learning curve. As I thought about how computers have put most of my generation on a steeper learning curve than our children I was conscious that it probably wasn’t nearly as steep a curve as the one that Jesus put his disciples on. When Jesus entered the world He turned all the spiritual ideas and conceptions on their heads.

“Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.” John 10:36-38

Just the idea of God being able to communicate with humans in the form of Jesus the Son of God was so foreign to them that they had a lot of trouble getting their heads around the idea let alone accepting it, but accept it they did and walked faithfully with Jesus for the rest of their lives.

When we have trouble getting hold of a new idea and I know some people do, remember you are not the first and you will not be the last but God will guide you and help you, all you have to do is ask.

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” Matthew 7:7

So here is to learning on mini computers!
