Bloom

I had been out for a walk and as I walked past a garden I spotted a beautiful mauve Iris in a garden that didn’t have a lot of other brightly coloured plants in it, so the Iris stood out and grabbed my attention.

It wasn’t hard for me to pray that I would stand out in a world that was a bit dull and sad. I want to be able to bring some joy and encouragement to people around me. I know that there are days when I would rather whinge than smile but as I remember that flower that bloomed on this particular day I pray that I will smile and bring beauty to someone else. “Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

I pray that I will be faithful to this.
