Fake

As I looked around the room I noticed some flowers sitting on top of the bookshelf. They looked and were pretty, just like the real ones. Yes they would last longer than real ones but they didn’t smell with the wonderful perfume that real ones had because they were FAKE.

I prefer real ones because there is always a perfume even if the perfume is not nice. Some flowers smell awful but there are many more that smell very nice and I love to enjoy their presence in my house.

Some perfumes invoke good memories others bad ones. Some people do the same. Some people come across as being real and others seem to have life so good that you have to wonder if they are lying and therefore fake.

The Bible also tells us that we can be fake Christians, “And the Lord said: “Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment taught by men,” Isaiah 29:13.

So my prayer today is that I will always be real not fake when it comes to my worship of my Lord.
