Trash
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, isn’t that the way the saying goes? Thinking about where I would be able to find some trash in a very well kept and clean house was a challenge. The only thing I could think of was the compost heap in the back yard. Here we have the classic theme that I keep coming back to. A compost heap is made up of weeds, rubbish and garden waste, which is mixed together and left to break down and change into a product that can then be returned to garden to revitalised the new seedlings. They will draw on the food that the compost provides to grow stronger, healthy and full of goodness for those of us who will eat them.
We cannot survive without food, we can survive on even very poor quality food, previous generations and current communities are testimony to that but the better the quality of our food the better our health will be.
On a spiritual level we also can survive on poor spiritual food. This is what happens when church leaders get off the track and do not preach strictly to the word of God. One of the advantages of our current internet services is that if we are not getting good spiritual food at home we can hunt it down through that facility.
On a personal level isn’t it wonder how God will take my life, something is not really worth a lot as a sinner and transform me into something that will feed and encourage those around me. “Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Oh Lord, may I be someone today that will enrich the lives of those around and not trash that just gets in the way.
