Lighting
Different types of lights have a habit of making any one object look different. When my husband wants to inspect a property he likes to do it first thing in the morning because the afternoon sunlight always makes the grass appear greener - strange but true!
There are such a variety of lights available now as well. They all have a different purpose in that they will shed a different type of light in a room. If I want to read or work I need a clear bright light, if I want to have a romantic setting I am going to use dimmed lights or candles.
I believe there are times in our lives when God uses different types of lights to show us the way. On some occasions He will use a strong clear light so that we can clearly see where we are to go and what we are supposed to do and yet other times He might use a dim light, one that makes us walk carefully, watching where we are going to put our feet down next.
It makes our lives very interesting and adds variety to our daily lives. I’m sure that if God used the same form of light for me each day I would get bored and over confident about what I was doing. God knows and understands that we need variety in our walk with Him.
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105. Let’s always walk carefully not matter what type of light we are walking in.
