Help

These days when I need help for Bible quotes I use Mr Google or the internet. If that is not available I use a concordance, my hard covered Bible and Study Bible. There are so many different things that are now available for me and it’s only available due to the hard work of other people who have put these resources together.

Mind you, it took people like Cruden a lot of work to put his first concordance together. I certainly wouldn’t have the stamina to do what he did.

You know sometimes we can get bogged down in our spiritual sources of help and inspiration. It is easy, for me at least, to rely on the same preacher, same author and same teachers for my spiritual food. I’m a little afraid of having to do the hard work of making sure that what I read and hear is correct. I just want to be able to feed and not sort stuff but that is not the way God wants us to learn about Him. He wants us to listen and check and make sure that what we are hearing is truly from Him and not from the devil. Here on earth we have to make sure that what we get is pure spiritual food because there are two forces at work here. “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”1 John 4:1

Oh won’t it be great when we get to Heaven, it will all be pure and we won’t need help to sort it out.
