I'm Proud of This
What a challenge this has been. The first thing that comes to mind is Pride goes before a fall. What am I proud of, my children, for surviving the mistakes and muddle of being raised by me; my father and the progress that he has made to adjusting to life on his own or my own growth over the years of raising five children, working and studying at the same time? I could be proud of all these things but then I had to work out how to give photographic evidence of such and that was very difficult.
As I thought about all these things I realised that none of it happened without team work, people working together to make something happen. So I am proud of the team work that goes to making life work.
The photo I choose hangs in my father’s house. It is a result of five children, their spouses and children cooperating and working together to be in one place at the same time to have photos taken so that we could present them to our parents on their 40th wedding anniversary. We had to think laterally and creatively to manage it all but we did it.
Just like the way we have to live life. We often have to think outside the box to find the solutions for the problems that living in our world presents us with but we have the greatest creative thinker there to help us all the time. We don’t have to log onto the internet, make a phone call or even travel great distances to find the answer. All we have to do is ask. We may not get the answer instantly but answer He will because He has promised. “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” Matthew 7:7
