I Saw This

I was out in the garden the other day when I was delighted to see an unusual sight. An echidna was heading under the house. I figured that he had decided that it was an acceptable place for him to hang out for a while. My husband had spotted him in the garden before this sighting and I have seen him again since.

I have to wonder how long he might hang around. It’s not as if he will not be disturbed from time to time by the farm animals. So I think he is only staying for a while as he continues on the journey of life.

It reminded me of what Jesus said about His living arrangements: “And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.” Matthew 8:20

Just like the echidna we are all passing through this world. Let us make sure that we make a good impression on our way through.
