Testing, Testing Can You Trust Me
Imagine walking along a beach, you look out and watch the waves roll in over the rocks, turning around you see the cliffs of sand that have been carved out to make the beach that you are enjoying. However the most interesting thing on the walk is the shells and rocks that are scattered on the sand.

The thing is that amongst those rocks and shells (particularly in Australia) you sometimes come across a pretty blue creature. It is so pretty that there is a temptation to pick it up and examine it. However, if you do you will regret it because these creatures have a sting that will make you very sick for a very long time. Life can sometimes be like walking along a beach, things are good, there are very few problems and yet there is always that small niggling thing that we can be tempted to pick up and play with.
I see God testing me to make sure that I trust Him to be faithful. I have three books to my name an enough material to have three or four more. I know that there at least two other authors with the same name as my own. Yet, as I see their advertisements on my computer, they must be able to afford such a thing and I see the success of other authors it would be very easy for me to pick up that blue bottle of jealousy. How can God give these people more success than me? Yet, each time those thoughts enter my head I must sidestep them, push them away or else I am going to be stung. If I don’t I will suffer and suffer dearly. God is asking me to trust Him in a way that He has not asked me before and if I am careful I will see His great hand work in a way that I have never seen before.
Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. Psalm 40:5
