Bless them please

There is a place that I stop at when I am travelling north. However, I always approach the door with fear and trepidation. I know that the business has been on the market for quite a few years now. So, I am afraid that it has been sold. These people have been such a blessing to me. They reached out to me at a time when I was completely shattered. I had stopped for a break. When my food was delivered they could have just placed the food in front of me with a smile and moved on to the next customer.

When I remember the way that they engaged with me in my time of despair and every other time since I am reminded of the how James talks about how an active faith is proved in the way people work. “What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.” James 2:14-17.

Do I want them to sell, no, because I will miss their kindness on future visits. However, I must not be selfish, so now I’m asking God to bless them with more blessings than I can imagine.
