Care

It was the height of summer and I suddenly realised that my Roses were not flowering as they had the previous year. It wasn’t because they hadn’t had water, we had had rain. What they hadn’t been given was care. I had been sick in the previous months and was unable to put in the time and energy to help them along. In order to make the roses flower in a way they had before, they needed my care, time and energy.

So, it is with people. Their Heavenly Father looks them after but they also need care, time and energy by those around them to make them grow and blossom into the beautiful person that God intended them to be.

“So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs”. John 21:15. That instruction is to us as well.
