New Year

As I thought back over the year of 2015 and looked forward to the New Year of 2016 I thought back to when the year 2000 was the New Year. I thought about how many people were so concerned about what the new millennium would mean for humanity. Some people were so fearful that life was going to end and change with computers shutting down and the like.

Now here we were 16 years later and life was still happening in much the same way as it had in the last century. Yes, we have seen loss, destruction and wars but we saw those things in the last century as well.

As we had been also dealing with many of the more dangerous creatures God created over the preceding days the world again didn’t feel very safe.

The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. Psalm 121:7
