Open Line

In Australia, we used to have only one authority which was responsible for our telephone services. Then, one day those in charge decided that competition would be a very good idea. Yes, it meant that there were cheaper deals available but it also meant that when it came to fixing problems and faults, a lot of people had to talk to a lot of other people in order to achieve a good outcome.
I was discussing this with my father once, who had had problems with his phone service for a couple of weeks and he declared; ‘It’s a good thing that there are no such problems with the line to God, it’s always open and working’.
How true this is! Our calls to God will never drop out, never be affected by stormy weather or someone pushing the wrong button on a computer. The only way that this line will not work, is if we as humans stop talking to our Heavenly Father.
“But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.” Psalm 66:19-20.
