Barking Dogs

I was woken through the night by the dogs constant barking making it impossible for me to sleep. I thought about how some people are kept awake by worries and fear. They are just as effective as those dogs barking outside my window.

In order to stop my dogs barking I would have to actually get out of bed and find out what they were barking at and eliminate it. However, sometimes they bark at imagery shadows. The solution to stop the worries and fears that keep us awake can be found in 1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him; for He careth for you.”

Challenge: When the dogs bark in my head, Lord, help me to remember that you are waiting to take care of them.
