There is a sleepy little town that I drive through quite often. It is always quiet and it appears that not a lot happens in this town. Recently I met some Christians who had been called to live there and wondered why God would ask these people to live in such a town. Yet, as I got to know these wonderful Christians I discovered that there was a lot of spiritual activity going on, that you just didn’t see while driving through the town.

I realised that the same happens with the people we meet. They may seem to be quiet and not doing a lot for the Lord, but maybe there is a lot happening that we just don’t see.
In 1 Samuel 16:7 we read, “But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.”
Prayer: Lord, help me not to judge people by what I think I see.
