Golden Smiles

Wattle trees, as far as I know, grow only in Australia. They have grey/green leaves that can look a bit dull. As an evergreen tree they really don’t look very colourful for most of the year. The flowers come out to brighten our lives for a very short time in late Winter, early Spring. The flowers look like bright yellow fluffy balls but they don’t last for very long. However, we know that next year they will come out again and we will smile.

Our lives can be like the Wattle tree, dull and boring for most of the time but there will be times, however short, when will experience bright sunshiny moments. They won’t last for long, but they will brighten our lives and help us smile. We can be sure that we will have other bright moments, just like the Wattle trees will have new flowers next year.

Of course we won’t necessarily have to wait a year, it may be a few days or a few weeks, but there will be bright moments ahead.

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. Malachi 4:2
