Shadow of Time
Have you ever noticed that the shadows of time are not quite true? If you look at the shadows of the hands on a clock, they are always a little bit out. If we want to know what the real time is we must make sure that we are looking at the real thing not the shadow.
The same could also be said of life. If you want to know what is the truth is we must look at the real source of our information. You don’t get to know a person by listening to the rumours about them, you get true knowledge by meeting them, talking to them and learning about them over a period of time.
So when you want to know about Jesus, where do you go? The Bible, it’s our source of true knowledge.
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12.
Prayer: Lord, I thank you that I can find out the tr
uth about you through your word.
