Side by Side

My husband and I are still renovating our home. We have been at this process for over twenty years now. As the children have all left home and there is just the two of us to finish some of jobs, we need to work together. When we decided to add some fretwork to the archway between the kitchen and family we needed to get some pieces of wood to line up side by side. Unfortunately, I failed to see straight and some pieces ended up being a little out of line. However, as far as I’m concerned the overall effect works well.

As we work side by side for the Lord we will find that sometimes things don’t line up quite as they should or as well as we would like but the Lord is the builder of His church and He will make sure that the overall effect is for His glory.

“So then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.” 1 Corinthians 3:7.

Challenge: To do my best and leave the rest up to God.
