Blind Spot

When I am gardening I often find that I have trouble finding the roots of the weeds because my hair gets in the way. My hair is part of me which needs to be pulled out of the way in order for me to succeed at finding, pulling and removing weeds.

When it comes to our own lives we often find that there are things that are a part of our makeup and previous experiences that get in the way of our learning something new. It can be a difficult process removing those long held ideas and traditions to see something new that God has for us.

“Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 12:2.

Some people hang on to these things stubbornly, others have no idea how to let go but if we ask Jesus to help us, He will surely make it possible to remove the blind spot so we can see the new vision that God has for us.

Prayer: Lord, help my rebellious nature and pull away all those things that create a blind spot to the future you have for me.
