Build it Up
One day I spotted a castle that one of my grandchildren had built with some game pieces. It had stood there for a few days before I noticed it. They had carefully stacked each identical piece on top of each other to make an impressive tower. It was topped with a queen chess piece.
It had stood there, steady and strong while other members of the family had bounced around the room and the wind had blown in during storms.
I thought about why it had stood there, impressively steady. Each piece was carefully stacked firmly on the centre of the piece below.
Yes, there were some deviations from the one below but not enough for it to cause the tower to fall. It was topped with a queen chess piece.
Like, life, we can be the queen, because God is our King. If we build our lives carefully centred around the word of God we will stand firm as the winds of storms blow around us.
“Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;” Hebrews 6:19.
Challenge: Let us stay centred on the word God in order to stand firm in an uncertain world.
