I was praying for someone that had not had the greatest start in life but despite all the challenges they had managed to make some good choices in among the bad ones. While they had to get through many difficulties they were still alive. For most of their life they were completely unaware of the hand of God in their life.
I suddenly became aware that no matter what life dishes out to us, God puts a hedge around us so that the evil that would try to destroy us cannot complete its mission until we run out of His allotted time. Of course, we have no idea how much time there is left for anyone. He brings many people into our lives who will share the good news with us and gives us plenty of opportunities to make the choice to accept His gift of Salvation. We can still reject that gift and there will be no excuses left once our time is up.
For those of us who have had the blessing of knowing Him, we must not be relucted to share the gospel with anyone God brings into our lives. It is our God given duty to make sure that we speak whenever we can and in fact we must do it as a matter of urgency because we have no idea how much time we have to faithfully tell of His love.
You never know when you might have the profound effect on someone, make them aware that the God that we love also loves them and wants to have a personal relationship with them. Giving them the opportunity to have eternal life is the greatest act of kindness we can extend to anyone because it is the greatest gift that God can give them if they are willing to accept it.
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15.
