In My Pantry
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2 Timothy 3:16.
The doors are firmly closed, no-one can tell how full or empty it is until they look inside nor can they see what treats are hidden in there. They can only be seen once the door is opened and someone takes the trouble to look. Even then they are not useful, no matter how tasty they might be, unless I decide to use the contents in a cooking spree or eat them.
There is another pantry that often has closed doors too. It’s the pantry that will feed the soul, if only it’s opened. Its contents are also useless unless people take the time to read and digest its contents. Yes, the Bible is a very full pantry that will not only feed those who read it, but will give them eternal life if they are willing to live their lives in accordance with God’s plan for salvation.
Have you opened God’s pantry for your soul recently?
